2014 Obtained Acquittal in Attempted Murder Trial

Jury Finds Not Guilty of Attempted Murder

Miguel Torres was facing up to 10 years in prison for charges of attempted murder in the first degree for hitting a man with his vehicle and dragging him for about half a mile. John accepted the case and vigorously defended his client.

The jury found that although Mr. Torres had hit the man and drug him, causing substantial injury, that he did not intend to do so. Mr. Torres was acquitted of all attempted murder charges and was instead found to have been recklessly dangerous in the operation of his vehicle.
